Interreligious Thanksgiving Service on Sunday

AAIM Interreligious Thanksgiving Service
Sunday, November 18
Congregation Beth Israel (3901 Shoal Creek Blvd.)
service starts at 4pm, reception at 5pm
[info]
This Sunday, Austin Area Interreligious Ministries will hold their 23rd annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. Austinites of diverse faith backgrounds join together for this service every year. This interfaith service is unique and sometimes surprising, and the call to worship is always a moving experience.

Please note that the location for the service has changed. Originally this year's service was set to take place at the Quarries, but it was announced yesterday that the service has been relocated (it seems the congregation that owns the Quarries wasn't receptive to the idea of an interreligious service after all). Luckily, Congregation Beth Israel is able to host the service, and it will go on!

Happy Thanksgiving from Hyde Park Baptish church! (Sorry NO MUSLIMS ALLOWED)

This is the reason I don't go to church. They're all HYPOCRITES! This stuff really drives me crazy.

"Organizers of an Austin interfaith Thanksgiving celebration scrambled to find a new location for the annual event after an evangelical Baptist megachurch objected to Muslims worshipping on its property."
