Nah, the docks aren't on Waller Creek; they're on Town Lake. This picture is showing Town Lake right where Waler Creek hits it. If you wanna see what the area looks like now, go to the very end of Trinity and walk down (to the east of the Four Seasons). The areas gonna change a lot 'cause to make Waller Creek a constant level creek (like Riverwalk in San Antonio), you have to have a way to pipe water back up to the beginning.

They have rowing club docks on Waller Creek?

The docks are for the Austin Rowing Club. There are similar docks currently in place. The ampitheatre was sketched in as a way to hide the intake pipe but PARD has already said that's a bit more than they want at that location so it probably won't happen.

Ditto on the whitewater rafting, that's cool and weird. All they have to do is increase the flow rate of the pumps. It's a pretty minor engineering change at this point. Somebody will have to pay the power bill. But you can charge the rafters a fee to cover that.

What is that thing? Is such an ampitheatre being proposed? Is that the boat dock/regatta launch point where Waller Creek goes into Lady Town Bird Lake?
