They Were ... Clap!Clap!

San Marcos/Austin's indie pop team, Clap!Clap!, today announced that the group has gone the way of Sound Team, and will be disbanding before the end of the year:

From the band:

hello friends,

we come to you today with the sad and unfortunate news of clap!clap!'s future disbandment. there is no bad blood or hard feelings whatsoever, we're just 8 completely different people heading in 8 different directions in life and clap!clap! is just the beginning for a lot of us. we've had a great nearly 4 years of this and want to thank all the bands we've ever played with, all the friends that have ever been in the band, all the booking companies or people that have taken a chance on us and, most of all, to the fans that have come to see us and love us. this has been one of the most amazing experiences of our lives and we thank you for being apart of it.

with that said...we have two final shows that we'd love to see you at and share two last magical experiences with us.

please come out and see us one or two last times, but remember, you haven't seen the last of us. more news of new music & art projects will continue to be spread through our page in the coming weeks/months.

thanks again friends. never stop clapping.

we love you always forever,
clap!clap!

They'll play two more shows in early December, one in San Marcos and the final one in Austin.

Whenever there's an "!" between words within the name of a band, you know you have something going on that's too lame to last.

Not true for bands or production companies
