From the news reports earlier it seemed as though the woman wasn't so sure about whether it was a rifle or not; this after her in person interview with police. She was also the lone caller to 911 from what I understand. If that is true, I find it hard to believe only one person saw a guy with a rifle in a parking garage in a relatively active part of town.

It's also possible that there never was an armed man. You know, that the one, uncorroborated eye witness that said they saw a dark figure that might have a gun *might* have been wrong.

Texas DPS and APD search for about an hour and since this sniper went away, I guess it's all good?! It's not like he went away because it was time to catch Tyra on tv and decided against using his rifle. Even more disturbing is that this didn't making breaking news on any tv station.

Ok. So they can't find him. Does that mean he's gone home and is no longer a threat, or that he maybe hiding out somewhere else downtown?

I work downtown and I keep hearing cars with sirens go by intermittently. My coworker's police officer friend says he's not in the area canvassed, but they're still looking.

Nothing to see here - move along!
