You missed the story about the guy in Round Rock arrested for taking pictures of people with his cell phone. I'm a little fuzzy on this - these were people walking down the aisles shopping at Wal-Mart.
How is it illegal?
Do I need to delete my Flickr account?
What am I missing?
You also missed the 3 year old boy with cancer whose miniature pony was killed by pit bulls. http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/local/10/25/1025deadpony.html?imw=Y
Alan - What I read was that he was a WalMart employee taking pictures of womens' behinds. A story I saw on KXAN(?) said that a woman heard him take a pic of her butt, turned around and took a pic of him on her cameraphone and turned him in to store management.
Classy!
Sure, I agree it's not classy - creepy, yes - but illegal?
She turned around and photographed him as well - is she in the same jail he is tonight?
Is this okay because his was of her ass, fully clothed, shopping in Wal-Mart?
Is this the road we want to travel?
Can she sue Motorola for aiding and abetting?
Could the guy working the camera who caught Cheney calling the reporter an asshole be prosecuted for "improper photography"?
What about the guy who took the pictures of police pepper-spraying peaceful demonstrators?
Could a person with a leather fetish be arrested for taking a camera to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo?
I've heard of people who get sexual thrills thinking of encounters with people in animal costumes. Does this mean I could be arrested if my Friday Night football pictures include the mascot?
Questions,
questions,
I have a lot of questions...
He actually said to the police that he intended to masturbate to the pictures. That's why he was arrested. Take a look at the affidavit. http://alt.coxnewsweb.com/statesman/pdf/10/102507photog_complaint.pdf
I like the extraneous apostrophe on the "butt's" in that complaint.
