    That Albertson's would be just about as bad - yes, the #3 and #10 are more major routes, but the #300 at least goes into East Austin (higher concentration of the transit-dependent that LULAC and ACLU are worried about, rightfully so).

    There was no real financial reason for this move anyways. The city doesn't pay property taxes to itself on the downtown property the court is currently occupying. Probably has more to do with an inability to build properly big chunks of office space for city workers the first time around.

    Yeah, no joke. Since we're looking at the boonies, what about the shuttered Albertsons at Manchaca and Slaughter? It would be easy for CapMetro to make it the new termination point for the 103, 10, and 3, which would be very, very convenient for a lot of people, even if it is a long trip.

    ACLU and LULAC are exactly right - the new location will suck for the transit-dependent.
