Kay Bailey leaving the Senate is a good thing. She's been a train wreck. I hope that enough Texans have the sense to keep her out of Austin.
Ben Wear covered the ped islands in his new blog on the statesman. I think they're useless - but about all we can get (since we're unwilling to use any judgement with the ridiculously high pedestrian warrants for pedestrian traffic to justify a traffic light).
