AFF Reveals Third of Four "TBA" Films

This is a big one for comedy fans: the folks at the Austin Film Festival have just announced Mr. Warmth, The Don Rickles Project as their third "TBA" film.

John Landis' star-studded look at the infamous insult comic will screen at the Regal Arbor on Tuesday night, and will presumably be very funny. It'll also undoubtedly be jam-packed with what can only be described as "Rickles Schtick".

There's very little early word on this film as it has yet to screen anywhere (we think) outside a planned premiere in New York this weekend.

Be sure to stick around after the film, because producer Bob Engelman will be in attendance for a post-screening Q&A. But we can't guarantee he'll make fun of your ethnicity. Sorry.

Details after the jump!

Mr. Warmth, The Don Rickles Project | Dir. John Landis
Tuesday, October 16th
9:30pm, Regal Arbor Theater

John Landis’ lively, star-filled, fittingly uproarious documentary is a terrific portrait of a bygone era in comedy and most of all of the man named Rickles, a giant who continues to stride among us mortal lowlifes at the age of 81, his timing deadlier than ever. Featuring over 30 interviews with comics, friends and people from Don’s life, a mix of live footage, home movies and clips from the Tonight Show and various TV shows and films, Landis creates a very funny documentary about a true comedy legend.

Featuring interviews with Bob Newhart, Robin Williams, Chris Rock, Sarah Silverman, Sidney Poitier, Jimmy Kimmel, Dave Attell, Billy Chyrstal, Christopher Guest, Clint Eastwood, Carl Reiner, Penn Jillette, The Smothers Brothers, Robert De Niro

Austin Film Festival totally sucks. These posers won't let anyone into their parties (which are totally lame).
