Austinist Show Preview: Lions and Young Heart Attack at Emo's
Lions held their own recently amidst a who’s who of Texas talent at the 2007 Wall Of Sound Festival. The Austin act was one of the few to make sense of the commotion that was Stage 3, generating incessant guitar riffs supplemented by vocalist Matt Drenik’s energy and howls to successfully satisfy a somewhat disgruntled crowd. The no-nonsense rock n’ roll band brings its brand new album, No Generation (produced at The Bubble Studio), and a plethora of fist-in-the-air, anthemic jams to Emo’s this Saturday. Tracks like “Evil Eye” and “No Generation” are just two of the new songs that are sure to amplify the adrenaline and appease the attendees. Another new number, “Metal Heavy Lady” was recently selected by Activision for Guitar Hero 3.
Young Heart Attack support with fresh material from their own upcoming release, Rock And Awe, along with past staples from their kick-ass Mouthful Of Love record. The band has been through some line-up changes since their inception and Frenchie confirms the rest of the Young Heart Attack to currently include the vibrant combo of Chris Hodge and Jennifer Stephens, both taking up the chunk of vocal duties as always, with able support from Paully Deathwish and Jayson Altman on bass and drums respectively. A Few Nice Things open.

Awesome band! If you have any time to drop by and see these guys they really do rock, no fluff, no BS.
Never seen Young Heart Attack, but Chris' previous band, Tune In Tokyo was excellent. Would really like to see that band get back together again.
