Local Rum-Runners Caught By TABC
Nine employees at Twin Liquors now face felony charges after allegedly stealing more than a quarter million dollars' worth of booze.
According to TABC officials, the employees had been running a fairly large-scale bootlegging operation for the past two years. Liquor and beer would be lifted from Twin Liquor's warehouses on Seventh Street and Stassney Lane, and then re-sold elsewhere around town. Authorities are unclear where the booze ended up.
"They could have been going anywhere," said TABC spokesperson Carolyn Beck to the Statesman. "They could have been going to minors; we just don't know."
The nine — Pedro Arredondo, 36; Victor Diaz, 24; Alfonso Gonzalez, 44; Sean Hills, 34; Frank Martinez, 41; Francisco Perez, 31; Jesse Serrano, 38; Roberto Saldaña, 46; and Enrique Zepeda, 36 — were indicted last Friday under felony charges of engaging in organized crime.

Dadburn revenuers! Keep your hands off'n my still.
That's amazing - I am guessing Twin Liquors will pile on as well with civil charges for all of the stealing that these folks did.
