Former Longhorn Roy Williams Is A Cheap Date

Roy_Williams.JPG

Former Longhorn receiver Roy Williams, now with the NFL's Detroit Lions, is pulling down $1.5 million in salary this season, but he talked a Detroit radio station about what a lady might expect on a date:

I am cheap, I’m a cheap date. Get you some McDonalds, with some cheese on it and I’m just really cheap, man. I’m very low key, I like to stay home. I like to go bowling on Monday nights and I go to the casino every once and awhile. Other than that, you won’t see Mr. Williams out at all.

I might just take [a date] to the casino and get her a free buffet. If I did take a date out to a nice place, I’d take her to a nice place, like a Red Lobster or something. It wouldn’t be Morton’s or nothing like that.

Also, if you're delivering pizza to the Williams residence, you should be prepared:

There’s no such thing as a tip. But I am really polite and I say ‘Thank you sir.’ … The pizza man knows, when he comes to my address, he’s coming for free.

Fine, I yield. Still, those are five minutes of your life you will never get back.

By the way, Roy Williams gives terrible head. He's as cheap with his tongue as he is with the waitresses.

I just registered a new email address and profile in under 5 minutes so fuck you mother fucker. By the way, I fucking hate rich people and white people and Mexican people and most asians. In fact, fuck all y'all. People suck.

Can we get someone from austinist in here to tell either this douchebag (me) or that douchebag (it) that guest posting was or wasn't allowed until this summer?

  • Ryan

#16, I can't bring myself to believe this concept is too hard for you, so I will try again. I was stating my opinion that guest comments invite people to say things that they are too afraid to say in even a registered-anonymous way. Not that all anonymous posters do this, but it sure seams to happen a lot. As soon as registered users start spouting anything remotely as bad as guest users have, I will concede you might have a point.

  • guest

Austinist has always allowed guest posting, but now they are hidden from view and censored more.

  • guest

No I don't, but I also didn't write that shit in the first place. I'm just saying that putting the blame for there being assholes in this world on the fact that austinist recently allow guest posting is not only retarded, but also that there will always be ways to get around having your comments or identity bloacked from a site. It's pretty much impossible to stop.

  • Ryan

Okay idiot guest, let me explain something. If austinist wants to delete racist comments from anonymous or registered posters, I applaud them. If you want to make up 15 names so that you can use them and get banned or whatever austinist would do to them, be my guest. Do you really care enough and have that much time on your hands to go to those efforts just so you can be writting racist comments that will still get deleted after a few minutes?

  • guest

...not that I'd do that, as long as they keep allowing me to post as a guest.

  • guest

That's stupid. If someone wants to be an ignorant racist, posting as a guest or posting as a registered user isn't going to stop them. Shit man, I can make 15 names right now at aol and start burning through them posting crap. Even if they ban my IP, I can get a proxy.

  • Ryan

Spouting you ignorant racist comments on a blog isn't protected speech. Start your own blog for that. Also thanks for confirming just how low the level of guest posting can go. I can't wait for Austinist to turn it off.

  • guest

first the "sign up" tracking requirement and now censorship... what's going on at austinist?

  • guest

You guys sure are hard on old Roy here; at least he's got some manners. As a waitress I have been treated badly by "good tippers" who think they can act the fool but it's all cool if they tip and had genuinely kind customers leave me "bad tips". Frankly, it's the industry that's effed up.

  • guest

If $1 bought me hot pizza that didn't have "special sauce" on it I think I could be bothered to hook that shit up. Oh well, he's the one getting shitty service.

  • Benj

I'm glad any potential tip the pizza guy might get instead goes to a casino. Rad.

  • guest

of course he doesn't tip. black people don't tip.

It makes me wonder if the pizza guy ever adds a little something extra to Roy's pies. Honestly though, I think our culture is wacky for our tipping practices. Couldn't restaurants and pizza places just charge more and pay people well? I always tip 20%, but I feel like I am subsidizing cheapskates like Roy.

  • guest

    what a douchebag.

  • guest

    woah...guest two.

on the subway? *always* poor people shelling the dollars out for hungry/homeless.

generosity is a quality surprisingly divorced from income level. and neighborhood of origin.

    dude's just an -sshole.

What a gentleman. And by "gentleman" I mean "penny-pinching dick."
