Opponents of nuclear power, Beware!

The federal government is providing "risk insurance" to nuclear power operators in the event of "regulatory or litigation-related delays" in the permitting process!! Yes, if you and your friends and your favorite environmental group (or consortium of environmental groups) wish to challenge these permits, the federal government will fund your assured defeat to a tune of $250 - $500 million dollars.

I know of apartments for lease in North Austin, a 2-2 for $670 a month that would much better fit into the state budget. Of course, the place is shit and they can expect to pay about $200 for electric (don't ask me why, it just is), there are leaks in the ceiling and cockroaches that will not die, but it'd be nice for Gov. Goodhair to see how his constituents live.
