Pecan Street Project Gets $10.4 Million Stimulus Grant

I thought Capitol Metro stopped offering free rides on Ozone Action days. The last time we had one, I asked the bus driver if it was a free to ride day and he said no.
yea doodz get out of your scionist and get with the cap metro program.
This is a little confusing to me. I'm not sure if they're saying that Ozone Action free rides won't be available after October or won't be available after October 1, 2006.

I do know, as I said above, that I tried to ride the bus for free the one day we had an Ozone Action day this summer and the bus driver made me pay.
nah doodz, there ain't any free rides on cap metro. dont cha know thaaar jacking the fares 50%? no freebies on ozone action days. watch some news8 or tune into kut and figure it out before you preach.
ok doodz. i hear u doodz. doodz, do u c that big space up there, doodz? what up w/that?
That's so strange . . . if they no longer offer free rides, then they should def. take that page off their site.
But I think you're right, guest 1/3, b/c the city of Austin's page doesn't mention free rides on this page:
http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/airquality/dosomething.htm
Ok, so even though it's an ozone action day, the bus ain't free anymore.
Who paid for that fire truck to be used for that cheesey proposal?
I woke up this morning trying to be a good samaritan and take the bus on of all days, Earth Day.
I wait for over an HOUR to no avail. I found out after calling the "go line" that my particular bus was on a Detour Route (not displayed at the stop), walked to the specified stop, waited for 30 more minutes, only to have my bus never show up! I then called the Go-Line to file a complaint and the lady put me on hold for another 20 minutes until I hung up.
Before CAPITAL METRO asks Austin to "Dump the Pump" maybe they should work on their own RELIABILITY!!!!
What a worthless unreliable service.
