As of this writing, 911 in Hays County is out. How much does that suck? A backup system (of sorts) is being used.- The reason the fiberoptic line was cut and 911 is out? Bees.
- The fire at ACL was the result of a propane leak, AFD says.
- Austin is the most congested medium-sized city in the nation. Um, yay?
- Woman dies in North Austin house fire this morning.
- Remember the Houston office building fire earlier this year? The building was torn down today.
- Carrollton City Hall was evacuated earlier today after a bomb scare.

I saw on Fox 7 that some guy from the sheriff's department was telling residents to flag down a passing officer or go to their local fire station in case of emergency. Back in the day, we'd call the police or fire department or hospital directly if we had an emergency. Why aren't they telling people to do that now?
If you will read the article, you will learn that they are.
I know that because I read it in the story, but they didn't say that on the news and not everyone has internet access.
BEES? BEADS!?
(sorry, just had to throw in the requisite arrested development quote.)
