Beer Me: St. Arnold Divine Reserve 5

Houston brewer St. Arnold released St. Arnold Divine Reserve 5 this week in Houston, DFW, San Antonio, and Austin. The Divine Reserve label goes on St. Arnold's single batch beers, and they sell out quickly. Reserve No. 5 is a Russian Imperial Stout which is a very big, bold stout with coffee flavors. Early ratings on RateBeer.com give it a 98 out of 100. Find it at Grapevine, Spec's, Whip In, Whole Foods or Central Market. You may want to call ahead to make sure it's not sold out at the location you will be visiting. Also, be prepared for a bit of sticker shock - a sixer will put you back $14. Yep, that's FOURTEEN dollars.

I just nabbed a pint of this at the Ginger Man yesterday. Deeee-licious!

It's about as close to beer perfection as one can get.

Fantabulous I'm sure. Hope I can find it tonight!

I've looked @ both Spec's and @ Grapevine, and it's already long gone from those stores. Happy hunting.

On Saturday they had about five unopened cases at CM south. I know some HEB stores are doling them out to customers who ask, as well.
