I was still a bit under the weather from LMISIV the previous evening, but I gleaned some vicarious stamina from LCD's set, helpless to stop what little moneymaker I have from swaying a bit... Thanks for the great write-up!

For real, #4. I just listened to The Heartless Bastards on myspace. Saying Bjork sucks and then saying they rule is like saying toilet paper sucks to wipe with but sandpaper is tops. I guess #7 is right. She's just too challenging for some.

Björk, LCD Soundsytem, and Arcade Fire were the main high points for me in day 1 & 2. I notice that many people who didn't care or stay for Björk probably just went to the festival too early. Her music is perhaps a little too challenging if you are hungry, fried by the sun and exhausted and would rather be going to bed. She is making music out of sounds that seem broadcast from outer space. Her song Declare Independence seemed harsh when I heard it on Volta and I didn't get it. When I heard it live I found myself chanting "higher, higher!" with the crowd and it became the best song of her set. This is why if I really like the headliner I don't go to the festival until at least after 3pm. One needs to be fresh to get into some of them.

Did you not stay past 6:30? While Bjorks music may not be for all of us, the performance was everything but "horrendous". LCD Sound System is a new fav. of mine, as it was my first time ;-) Well done.

I had never heard the LCD song "All My Friends" before. They won me over with that song.
