ACL Eats: Something to Ballast Against All the Heineken

We know you're coming to ACL Fest for the amazing live music, not the culinary delights. That said, you're going to need to keep your blood sugar up to withstand three days of dirty heat and canned beer. The Austin Chronicle has helpfully detailed the food vendors and their offerings at the park grounds as well as the restaurants near Zilker within walking distance should you decide to venture out.

Gourmet foodies may want to try some local brunch spots before the fest gets going each day, as well. And if you're looking farther afield for eats options, the members over at the Austin Chowhound board have some suggestions for you. Hint: we're generally known around these parts for our Tex-Mex and BBQ joints, but you'll find other great cuisines if you have time and inclination.

Nothing like loading up on ham and waffles to make you need to take a giant dump in a port-o-let.

eew

Just say no to brunch before ACL children.

I thought Ham and Waffles cancelled their appearance, citing "anxiety."

Oh brother. Not this again...

#5?

No, it goes, "#9? #9? #9? #9?"
