On Mondays and Thursdays, we syndicate comic strips from around the IST network. If you're an artist and would like to share your works with our readers, please email us.
Today's comic is by Austin artist Travis Nichols, whose work we first stumbled upon during the East Austin Studio Tour. An illustrator, designer, and cartoonist, Nichols works primarily with acrylics, spray paint, and ink, often using a variety of recycled/reclaimed materials—wood, discarded matboard, thrift store prints—as his canvases. He also plans to build an underground house one day. You can read more about him here.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic - does anyone actually enjoy these comics?
I too was wondering what the joke is? Perhaps there's a hidden meaning to this otherwise moronic comic? Or maybe its just another to add to the likes of Cathy, Foxtrot, Mary Worth, and Family Circus...
Yes. I enjoy them.
It's about perspective.
I thought it was about humility.
It's about hipsters.
I'm not sure why I ever took up challenging work for a living. Can you really pay the mortgage with this stuff?
Challenging work is better than boring work. I could write a comic about boring work but it would be about as funny as Ghost World.
I like Travis Nichols' artwork.
I like the comics. More comics.
Travis Nichols artwork is inspiring and earth friendly.
As an extremely tall monster, the comic struck very close to home.
Not that I enjoy being mocked by Mr. Nichols.
