This Thursday night, the Alamo will host a special advance screening of the new documentary No End In Sight. The film (which won the Special Jury Prize at Sundance earlier this year) paints a grim picture of the current situation in Iraq, and suggests that key errors in policy and strategy have caused a slow but certain spiral into chaos in the war-torn country.

But here's the interesting bit: rather than focus on the usual cast of lefty anti-war activists, filmmaker Charles Ferguson instead interviewed high ranking US officials, Iraqi civilians, American soldiers and stratgic analysts, many of whom initially supported the war, but became disillusioned by their experiences with the Bush Administration.

We've been wanting to see this since the buzz began circulating at Sundance, and the critical praise has gotten us even more excited for this screening. In his review of the film, Roger Ebert has even suggested that the architects of the Iraq war should be forced to watch this film Clockwork Orange-style. Yikes!

Congressional candidate Dan Grant will introduce the film, and will also conduct a Q-and-A session afterward. Dan's experience on the ground in Iraq gives him a unique, insider's perspective on the war and its effects. While in Iraq, he was an advisor to the Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq for the Iraqi elections, and was a consultant to international military forces and local leaders in Baghdad, Basra, Fallujah, and Mosul.
