Anchorwoman, We Hardly Knew Ye

anchorwoman.jpgAfter one episode Wednesday night (which we are betting you didn't watch), FOX's Anchorwoman has been cancelled. The pilot opened to terrible ratings; the new show shared the same number of viewers as a rerun of America's Top Model on a lesser network (the CW).

Critics hated it and female reporters and media-types were understandably offended by the idea of a show that put a blonde model with no journalistic experience behind the news desk of a Tyler station. And it seems that America shared their disinterest in Lauren Jones' hijinks at KYTX. News like this is almost enough to restore faith in network television. Almost.

MAN, I AM SO BUMMED. I WAS WATCHING THIS ON MY 10 IN BATTEREY POWERED BLACK-AND-WHITE TV THE OTHER NIGHT WHEN THE BRUNETTE (ANNALISA) WAS YELLING ABOUT "JOURNALISTIC INTEGRITY". IN TYLER TEXAS? YOU *MUST* BE KIDDING GIRL. YOU CAME OFF LIKE A BACK STABBING, INSECURE, TYPICAL JERSY GIRL. THIS IS TEXAS. GROW A SKIN.

WRITE YOUR LOCAL STATION AND DEMAND THIS SHOW BE PUT BACK ON THE AIR.

Unfortunetly - I was one of the few that saw it. And Thank Goodness it's canceled. I couldn't make it more than 10 min before I had to change it.
