ME Wants You (As Their Next VJ)

MEvjs.jpg

ME Television (Time Warner cable channel 15), Austin's local music video station, is gearing up for their own reality show which will be based on their nationwide search for two new VeeJays. The first set of open auditions takes place Thursday, August 30 in Austin. These auditions will be filmed for the reality series, which will start showing on ME in October.

Duties of ME VeeJays include artist interviews, as well as coverage of ACL Fest, SxSW, and other local music festivals. If you are interested in auditioning to be a VJ, Executive Producer Jacqueline Renee warns, "I want everyone to come with a fantastic 60 seconds on who they are and why they should be on ME Television. Everyone should work on their interviewing skills and prepare a short talent segment covering music and entertainment news and introducing videos." Renee says that previous open call auditions have been fruitful in the past (most of the ME on-air talent have been discovered in such auditions).

This time, though, everything is recorded. So even if you don't make the VJ call-backs, there is still a chance you'll get some on-air time on the reality show.

Who is Phlack? A douchebag, no doubt.

i never mentioned anything about sex with each other, i meant "EVER"...as in: "I neva!"?

"guest" can be so evil and mean!

I'm registering for that party, though.

OH! Now I remember Emmy in Planet Terror! She was that fugly zombie with the chicken head running around saying, "mememememememe"!

I hope they haven't. I hope they don't even have genitalia. If they bred... my god. Think of the poor children. Emmy alone is more self absorbed than a tampon. Add JJ to Emmy and it's like a black pit of "memememememe". The universe might explode if they so much as thought about fucking.

AMN was cool but common...talk about production value...sheeeesh! M.E. seems to be a local start-up company. I actually did some research and found that the all the employees are from all around Texas and the big bosses actually came from Florida. Crazy what a little Googling will do for you!

Yeah...JJ and Emmy are so annoying that all the haters love talking about them. Kinda like the Howard Stern effect, I suppose. If all publicity is good publicity, then the haters are working to their benefit. Robert Rodriguez likes Emmy enough to put her in his recent flicks so for now I'm gonna take another rip, relax and enjoy.

Only one question remains: Have Emmy and JJ ever......?

Great, ME is already starting the transition from music videos to reality shows.

ME rivals News 8 as far as horrible production value --I feel like i'm watching a high school music show.

ME is one woman from California who moved here strictly to start ME in the hopes of getting it syndicated nationwide.

When people come visit Austin, tune to channel 15 and watch ME I am embarrassed that dumbasses like Bobby Bones and JJ Castillo represents this cities music scene.

Especially in this age of YouTube and internet media, we need to steer away from glossy, pre-packaged music stations like ME. Bring back AMN.

    JUBCHA 4 VJ!!!!

God, I hope they're getting rid of Emmy. That girl is the most annoying person on TV. I'd rather watch Elmo on Red River Rocks.

    you left out one prerequisite:

+ Must be as annoying as J.J.

    Mark Hammer for VJ
