aGLIFF On The Horizon

agliff_logo_13-08-07.jpgThe 20th annual Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival is right around the corner. Under the guidance of new Executive Director Lucas Schaefer, this year's fest is shaping up nicely--and if you really hurry, you can still have your work included! Sort of!

The aGLIFF trailer competition invites filmmakers to create an original three minute or less festival trailer that conveys aGLIFF's festival theme of diversity and inclusiveness, "We Speak Film." Winning films will screen in rotation throughout the festival, and winning filmmakers will receive a fancy film festival pass to boot.

Send your entry to: aGLIFF Trailer Competition, 1216 E. 51st St, Austin TX 78723. The submission must be postmarked by August 15th, so hurry up, 'cuz that's, like, tomorrow.

We'll be bringing you more festival details as they emerge, so keep an eye out.

it's pretty depressing to think that agliff can't seem to hold on to a programming director and that the best they could do this year was a straight woman. it's also depressing how suburban and provincial this festival is. but then again, if you're not willing to do your part to offer a bevy of homos as a viable market for capitalism to consume you don't get chic alcohol sponsorship.
agliff gives me gay shame.

ps i choose to remain anonymous lest i be ostracized from polite society.

LOL! Ditto. Except, I've already been ostracized from polite society.
