Austinist guest correspondent Beth Bellanti, Director of Marketing at Tito's Vodka, was at last weekend's Lollapalooza Music Festival in Downtown Chicago. With Austin having such a large presence at this year's event— the lineup included Spoon, Ghostland Observatory, Roky Erickson, and Blue October—we thought it only fitting to invite her to share some photos from the fest.

If you can't view the Flash slideshow above, an alternate version appears after the jump.

Some of these pics are great...nicely done! I esp. like the backstage shot of Eddie Vedder.

You may not know it between the product pics and cabana shots, but there was also a pretty good music fest going on in Chicago last weekend.

I'm from Barcelona (playing their first ever US show),

Polyphonic Spree (with a great Lithium cover and an encore in the familiar white robes - much like their stubb's show a few months back),

Elvis Perkins (who fought off the hired help who was trying to move his bands equipment despite 15 minutes left in the set - he managed two more songs thereafter),

Rodrigo & Gabriela (much see during ACL after the visa problem nixed their SXSW shows),

My Morning Jacket (with the Chicago Youth Symphony...not to mention Jim James solo of "rainbow connection" on the kids stage on Saturday),

were just a few of the highlights that far surpassed the luxury of an air conditioned cabana and private bathroom situated about 200 yards from the main stage. Or so I'm guessing.

that boy in #23 is hawt

Hmmm, looks just like ACL, tents and all. Seriousyl, looked like a good time though.

nice photos. the mass of people in that first photo looks insane!

Lollapalooza may look like ACL but the weather and the venue kicked ACL ass.
