Movie Shoot Garage Sale!
Stop-Loss is the first film from director Kimberly Peirce since her brilliant, award-winning 1999 drama Boy's Don't Cry. Filmed in and around Austin, Stop-Loss follows an Iraq war hero named Brandon King (played by Ryan Phillippe) who returns home only to be called back to active duty under the US military's "stop-loss policy". But rather than return to Iraq, King flees with his friend Michele (Abbie Cornish) while trying to figure a way out of the military.
This week, Austin studios will host a "garage sale" full of props, set-dressings, furniture, housewares and more--all used in the eagerly anticipated new film. The sale will take place this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (August 8th-10th) at Austin Studios' Stage 2, from 10am to 6pm.
Even if you're not really interested in the film (we don't wanna tell you your business, but you should be interested), we're thinking that you could get big eBay money for anything that Ryan Phillippe may have had in his mouth. So either way, it'll be worth the trip.

math, when you tell us our business, it's generally completely awesome.
so keep on pushin' that beeswax, son.
OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG...
HOW WONDERFUL!
For people that do not have jobs.
jesus h! get a down-and-out friend to get you that ryan phillipe crockery set, then.
?
I don't know anyone that doesn't have a job.
And you need to take a chill pill little buddy. Austinist does not appreciate you trying to pick fights. They will hunt you down and slit yout dog's throat in front of you for an indiscretion like that. It's called fair and equal punishment for when you're a bad boy and get angry because I have to work.
Huh?
Totally true, guest. Nobody goes anywhere or buys anything during the day--that's why stores, restaurants and offices are all closed until after 6.
what kind of stuff do you think ryan has put in his mouth...
Now that's not a fair comparison since most stores aren't only open for two or three days before shutting down. This is more like a garage sale, which people usually hold on Saturdays since that's when most people don't have to work.
Oh yes, watch the attitude, math. Austinist has strict standards for decorum which you are currently flaunting with that pert tone.
ZOMFG!!1!!ONE! There are two band listings right after this posting. Both don't even start 'til around 10 PM. What about us people with jobs? How are we supposed to go see music and not be totally shagged out the next day?!!?!
Quit listing things that don't agree with my schedule, you bastards!!1!1!
You know why this is going on "when most people have jobs"? Because --guess what-- it's someone's JOB to get rid of all this crap.
...we're thinking that you could get big eBay money for anything that Ryan Phillippe may have had in his mouth.
So you think I could get 20 bucks for this pair of Reese Witherspoon's soiled panties?
Kenneth: at LEAST $20!
Guest: Is too fair. IIISSS TOOOO!
I'd like an answer to Joel Nihlean's question. I'm thinkin' it has nothing to do w/ Reese's panties....
As for employment vs unemployment, don't you know that these kinds of things are the boon of the stay-at-home-parent's existence? I'm soooo gonna score some great stuff while all you people with jobs are busy working. Hell yeah.
That's the spirit. Keep feeding us reasons to think housefraus are spoiled.
um apparently it was cancelled.

They should reschedule that for Saturday, Sunday and a Monday.
