Fangoria Coming to Austin In January

Details are still sketchy, but you can already buy tickets for the Austin edition of Fangoria's Weekend of Horrors, happening January 18th-20th at the Renaissance Austin Hotel.

As of right now, the only confirmed guests are Tom Savini, Jared Padalecki and Harry Knowles, but organizers have wrangled some cool guests for previous, non-Austin events, so we're hoping to see a few high-profile additions in the coming months.

Hilariously, the folks on the Texas Frightmare Weekend message board feel that Fango's event is a blatant attempt to "thwart" their Dallas-based fest (despite the fact that the two events are 200 miles and six months apart).

For the record, we attended the Texas Frightmare Weekend this year, and it was a heck of a lot of fun--but we're pretty sure that Texas is big enough to host two horror conventions. So bring on the Fango!
