Join Us For Summer Extrav-O-Ganza 2: Cruise Control!

Craving a trip out to Lake Travis, especially now that monsoon season has passed? So have we.

As such, we're thrilled to be co-sponsoring the second annual Summer Extrav-O-Ganza, along with Green Potato Ventures, PartyEnds.com, Independence Brewery, Super!Alright! and Progress Coffee.

Gallery Lombardi PartyLast year's midsummer soiree at the old Gallery Lombardi warehouse was a huge success. This year, we're taking a cue from a certain action movie franchise and moving this out to Lake Travis.

On Sunday, August 5th, join 150 of your closest friends on the mammoth barge dubbed "The Ark" for Summer Extrav-O-Ganza 2: Cruise Control, featuring music by Austinist faves White Denim and DJ sets by Markus with a K and Hustle Simmons. Naturally, we'll be stocking the boat with plenty of beer, food, and water.

Twenty bucks guarantees you a spot on the boat—tickets will be available at an upcoming happy hour at the Mohawk, or email us to reserve yours in advance. Only about 120 tickets will be made available, so get on it!

Update: We'll be arranging a meet-up time and location for those who would like to carpool from Austin.

It sucks that you're having it at a place where only people with cars can attend. Come on, Austinist, I thought you guys stood for biking, walking & public transit. There are more than enough venues in the central city that you shouldn't have to hold a party halfway to Marble Falls.

someone likes the Jay Ryan typeface, eh?

Kenneth, something tells me that it had to be on Lake Travis due to the size of the boat. I dunno though, I'm not the one who booked it.

Why not carpool? If you can't find a ride, you can ride w/ an Austinist staffer.

Closer to Austin proper and all-inclusive.

I didn't know hipsters rode boats.

Wow, that's what I call responsive. Thanks, I might take yall up on it if I decide to go.

Note: Austinist staffers do not guarantee a ride back from the boonies. Or that they'll leave you with your wallet. And clothes.

:)

Are you seriously being that douchebag who gets invited to a party, and then starts complaining about it?
