ok, who's the special guest and when? thanks. completely guessing here but maybe spoon? maybe the same evening as their waterloo in-store?

According to the IST list the show they are referring to is Friday night at the Mohwak. Spoon is still a good guess as they have no shows for a week or so after their Waterloo instore. [btw, this new signing in to comment system is not working]

Hell yeah, that People Noise & Drawing Board show will be great on Saturday.

i heard its a butthole surfers reunion

spoon or butthole would be grandiose.

I would love to see Spoon...unless the price of Admission is a sunburn from waiting from 12 in the afternoon like people did the Decemberists show.
I love the Mohawk...I really don't like this procedure.

Oh and why are ACL taping tickets being reserved for select few now? Like BLOGGERS? Do I need to start a Blog to get in now? I thought this was first come first serve???

Ok...I will stop betchin'

According to The Mohawk myspace events calendar it is a private event featuring Sweatband and Das Messer. If you do a google search for Das Messer band one of the first few hits is spoon's wikipedia page which says the following

"The name Spoon was chosen as a respectful salute to the 1970s German avant-garde band Can whose hit song "Spoon" was the theme song to the movie Das Messer. Incidentally, the film title translates to another utensil (and band)—The Knife.[1]"

So, I'd say this is about as close to a confirmed Spoon show as it gets.

acl ticket access depends on the band. i went to the acl taping of femi kuti sunday night and people who just showed up 15 minutes before the taping were able to get in.

ACL tickets have always had reserved spots for lucky bastards like Lance.
