News Bits: Rain Dances & Cardboard Dumplings

- Lady Bird joins LBJ, but her legacy lives on. Take a lap around Town Lake for her, and be sure to stop and smell the flowers.
- Pray for rain--in Alabama. Lord knows we've had enough of it here, and we may even get more.
- While you're at it, pray for grocery stores--Detroit doesn't have any. Maybe Whole Foods could move in if Mackey weren't so busy online.
- Feeling broke? Head to Japan, where they have free money in public restrooms. - Apparently librarians who knit top the "hip" charts. Does this mean grandma's now the epitome of cool?
- Parking downtown can be annoying, but at least it won't run you almost a quarter mil. Yet.
- Bush pleased with satisfactory progress in 8 out of 18 criteria. He's also concerned that, "as a result of violence and killing, there would be chaos." No way. Maybe we oughta pray for progress in addition to rain.
