Summer Storms, By the Numbers

well this may be a total non sequitur considering the rest of the comments, but i'd just like to say thanks for compiling this info. i've been curious about some of this stuff, but i still haven't found rainfall totals listed in detail. this article mentions a few, but i was hoping for some more data.

Work? Family? Yeah, got both of those actually and been here for a long time. Lived in Seattle for a while too. Saw a guy step in front of a bus one day after 132 days of rain, moved home after that. Why don't you move there if you don't like sun, fun and Austin? And Alberto Gonzales? WTF was that? You really are an idiot aren't you?

Anyway, I'm definitely digging it being cooler then usual, but this many straight days of rain is beginning to get to me. There's a reason I live in Austin and not Seattle or Portland or some other place in the Pacific Northwest.

Not being able to go to Barton Springs much, or ride my bike whenever the hell I want to, is definitely part of the summer I'm missing. Hopefully it'll get a little less crazy in the weeks to come.

1. Austin is not a barren shithole - there are tons of lush green places you can go, even if it was sunny and hot. My pool works especially well for me. 2. As for liking skin cancer; where did you get that from? I wear sunscreen and re-apply a lot, thanks for trying though. 3. The abundance of rain does displace wildlife and poses a threat to neighborhoods. Wait until anoth kid gets eaten by a coyote and you'll get the idea (maybe we'll be lucky and it will be your kid if we're lucky - God knows we don't need another idiot like you). 4. Back to the original point - if you like rain and think Austin is a barren shithole, why are you here?

Why do people talk about the temperature sometimes and ask to keep it cool. Here's an idea, move. Did you not know it got hot when you came to TX? Stop raining already, I for one, am ready for my 90 straight days of 100 degree weather and sunshine!!!
