Austinist Show Preview: Cue CD Release at Emo's

Cue are a self proclaimed "chamber-rock" band whose brilliant combination of orchestral arrangements and hard hitting post rock have earned them praise from both critics and audiences alike. They are among the handful of exceptionally gifted instrumental bands such as Explosions In the Sky, Octopus Project, My Education, and Skiesfalling here in Austin. Their amazing instrumental acrobatics go from the soft and spellbinding to eruptions of passionate musical violence.

This Friday, June 29th marks the latest CD release, Wedding Song, as they perform at Emo's Lounge. Supporting are Horse + Donkey whose cataclysmic rock 'n roll cross breeds German krautrock ala Neu and Amon Düül II with Tex-Mex peyote visions of a dystopian world. Opening are science fiction rockers Moth Fight and Adrianne The Anemone of the Tune Helpers.
