Austinist Giveaway: Tom Waits Peepshow
Last year the funky little show Inside a Broken Clock: A Tom Waits Peepshow played to packed houses and garnered critical raves. If you were unfortunate enough to miss it, you're in luck because it's back! Two nights only, two shows per night, tonight & Friday at 8pm & 10:30pm at the Parish. The folks of Broken Clock Cabaret are doing this as a kickoff for their upcoming tour to beautiful San Francisco.
What is a Tom Waits Peepshow, you may ask? Well, it involves dancing girls, burlesque "action," puppets, and reportedly a "super-cute drag queen." Aren't all drag queens super cute? Well...the good ones anyway? Regardless, all this zany fun is set to the music of Tom Waits, as played live by the No Salvation Army Band.
Not sure whether this is something you'd like? We're certain it is, but if you want to check it out for free, pick a night and enter your name and email address for two complimentary tickets. (Winners get to choose either the early or late show for the night in question.)
Congratulations winners!
If you didn't win, don't be sad. Just dig $15 in change from your sofa cushions and head on over to the Parish. Or better yet, buy tickets online, because each and every previous performance of this piece was sold out!
