The Future Forum presents Michael Beschloss

beschloss_pres_cour.jpgWhen it comes to U.S. Presidents, few people know more than Michael Beschloss, NBC News' official Presidential Historian. His best-selling books have covered all things executive and his latest, Presidential Courage: Brave Leaders and How They Changed America, 1789-1989, examines several moments within 200 years of American history when Presidents had to seriously represent, keeping it realer than real for the sake of the nation and the world.

On Monday, June 11th, the LBJ Future Forum is sponsoring an evening with Presidential Historian Michael Beschloss. The fun commences at 7pm with an interview conducted by Texas Monthly editor Evan Smith. Presidential Courage will be available for sale at the event and Beschloss will be signing copies after the interview. Maybe you'll be able to gain some perspective on our current supply of "presidential courage." The event takes place, appropriately, in the LBJ Library. Attendees are asked to RSVP in advance.

Be forewarned, RSVP-ing for this event opens you up to solicitation from the LBJ Future Forum for membership. If enlightening discussions of our nation's highest executive branch are something you're into, then you might want to consider becoming a member. For $50 a year members have access to all Future Forum sponsored events which include heavyweight intellectual panel discussions, film screenings and the occasional party. Just something to think about.
