Vice Kills Texas Wimpy Scooters, Hosts Free Party Tonight

When the people behind Vice Magazine throw a party, it's safe to assume that much booze will be enjoyed, and, on more special occasions, that buildings may partially collapse. All in the name of good fun.
Meanwhile, Harley Davidson recently spawned the latest hellion in its family of meaty motorcycles: the "Nightster" is an ultra-low sportster designed, as its 27-year-old creator put it so succinctly, "to look illegal." We know precious little about fancy bikes, but we're guessing it's the polar opposite of the granola green scooters we told you about yesterday.
A natural fit for one another, the two entities have teamed up to host the Nightster Launch Party tonight at Scoot Inn. The free event kicks off with an hour of complimentary beer from 8-9pm, and Austin's Riverboat Gamblers will perform at 10pm. In between, you can check out photo journals taken by Southern California pro skateboarder Ed Templeton.
To get in, RSVP to harley@viceland.com.
