I played drums in a hardcore band from 1978 - 1986, and all I can say is: "get outta my head!!" But seriously, isn't virtually evrything from one's youth tainted by nostalgia? My dad grew up on Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman, but he hated Sinatra and and the ensuing parade of would-be imitators. Nostalgia can be poisonous, and tends to sour just about eveything near and dear to one's heart, eventually. </p>
