Austin Cub Scout Pack 990 and Boy Scout Troop 990 obliterated the Guinness Book World Record for most simultaneous model rocket launches this past weekend. An astounding 965 rockets were fired via "electric matches" at The Travis County Expo Center—short of their initial 1000 target, but very impressive nonetheless. According to Engadget, the previous record stood at just under 400.
