Actually heard several talking heads on various news stations this morning all saying how the death of Falwell represents a "changing of the guard" or "the end of an era." The question I guess you have to ask is, how will things be different now that he's gone? Also: That clown video is quantum-beyond creepy, yet the background score somehow makes it okay....

Oh to have a tape-recorder/photographic memory. I saw a quote from President Carter on CNN which went somewhat like "I say this in a most Christian manner, but I wish he would go to Hell." If reincarnation is the system at work in this world, don't hesitate to squash a cockroach next time you see one.

I am ashamed to say, I felt not one iota of sadness upon hearing this news. I am generally a nice person, but he represented everything that makes me nauseous. As a Christian, he was pretty much offensive to me in every way. I hope the best for his family.

Killed by mother nature in the normal course of events. This special occasion reminds me of the great Clarence Darrow quote: “I never wanted to see anybody die but there are a few obituary notices I have read with pleasure.” His life for me was a great testimony to another Darrow quote: “The world is made up for the most part of morons and natural tyrants, sure of themselves, strong in their own opinions, never doubting anything.” What a great day for humanity May 15th has become. Oh yes and... “a date which will live in infamy” (Roosevelt) perhaps could be applied to August 11 1933, the date of his birth. www.caliibre.com
