You haven't missed your chance to be in the limelight. No, you didn't get to sing your song when Devendra called that other, weirder kid on stage. And that time you were so going to crowd surf-then-jump up on stage to wail and beat drums with Arcade Fire but never got the guts to just jump--that is all in the past, my friends. Today, er Sunday, is a new day.

John Vanderslice, the prolific (five albums in as many years), meticulous and talented songwriter/musician/producer is inviting you to the stage. Yup, heard right. Ole John-boy will be in town this Sunday and is preparing a special gig. For this tour, it's just John, his guitar, a couple of moogs, and Dave Douglas on drums. So they're inviting anyone to come join them on stage. From the horse's mouth:

If you'd like to sing LEAD VOCALS on a song, please find us before the show and we'll bring you onstage. Try to learn two songs in case we don't know your first choice. If you want to PLAY BASS, bring it (don't worry about the amp) and learn either "424" or "My Old Flame". It'll be a free for all.
