This wasn't just a rainstorm that was expected to blow through in a few minutes (contrary to what a Stubb's employee told me). As Shanniz mentioned, it was a lightening storm for goodness sake. I personally felt gypped because I stood around for 2 hours when it should've been cancelled much earlier in the evening. I love Blonde Redhead and don't question their wonderfulness as people. I vented when I got home last night because I spent an evening waiting around and then got drenched.

The band graciously handed out flyers, shook hands and signed autographs. It's not a gyp; it was a lightening storm. There was nothing to be done. They waited it out and gave the show every opportunity to happen.

they didn't play...the Stubb's guy announced around 10:10 that the show would not be going forward...they waited it out to see if the rain would let up at all, as expected...but it didn't

What a gyp! We waited around till after 10:00 and still hadn't heard whether or not the show would be cancelled. Keep in mind the sound ordinance dictates that shows end by 10:30 pm on weeknights. I'm frustrated that Stubb's and/or the band kept everyone waiting around for so long. Grr. I still don't know if they played or not after we left at 10 or so.
