Austinist Show Giveaway: Clap! Clap! CD Release at Emo's

Clap! Clap! are a hard-working band. Besides playing numerous shows in and around town, they have been in the studio recording their debut full-length (You Love This), chock full of blistering synth pop-rock no doubt. The number of members in the band has peaked at fifteen during some stages of their career, making for some riveting performances but Josh! Clap! verifies the current number of constituents to be eight. He also points out that “the CDs will go for half price” during the two CD release shows only-- they play San Marcos on the 28th. We were fortunate enough to have Clap! Clap! onboard for Local Music Is Sexy 3 (our pre-SxSW bash) while they also lit up the Parish last month at Couture de Amore. Always a good time.

Clap! Clap! will be preceded once more by the post-electro of Haunting Oboe Music while Crash Gallery and The Always Ready promise to lay the platform for a night of enthralling beats. In between the bands, our beloved Car Stereo (Wars) were due to be mixing, mashing, and causing general musical chaos but unfortunately had to cancel. Instead, entertainment during changeovers will be in the safe hands of the versatile Team Fabrication. Erin (one half of Team Fab) assures us an all-night dance-party featuring plenty of variety (requests welcome) so no taco or grilled cheese breaks during sets, please.
