    Boo, thanks, and as Jon predicted, I happened to see a flier at Clementine and was curious about the performance. It didn't disappoint, although it might not be for everyone. There's a good hour solid of just music, which is mainly flutes, drums, and monotonous chanting, before the whirling begins.



    As for future performances, I don't think there are any in the area besides this one. You can check their website, though, linked in the post. And for all I know there may be other groups out there doing similar stuff.

    There have been posters for it around town...

    and i understand what you're saying about just how hypnotic the dancers are. i once tried to take a belly dancing class but found the movements of the instructor so trance-making...i was all over the place...i knew i just couldn't cut it a student without falling into some alternate state of consciousness.



    just out of curiosity, how did you get the tip off about these guys? also, any upcoming performaneecs you would recommend?
