Austinist Giveaway: More Ohio Trip!

Don't worry. You haven't lost your mind, and Austinist's famously solid and predictable servers haven't gone on the blink. Things are just a little wonky in the Austin theatre scene right now. All these fests -- which are wonderful, mind you -- are wreaking havoc with show schedules. Some productions are playing first at one fest, then at another...first at one location, then somewhere else just down the block.... It's enough to make a body right-terrible confused.

The good news is, we've got more free tickets for Elizabeth Cobbe's fantastical vacation slide show, Ohio Trip. The show is being remounted as part of Refraction Arts' Fuse Box Festival, and runs this Th/Fr/Sa at UT's Creative Research Lab. As we mentioned before, this performance is a narrated slide show of the photos Cobbe purportedly took during her recent journey into the underbelly of Cincinnati, Ohio -- think "a mysterious forest with characters from a modern-day Alice in Wonderland."

We've got two pair o' tickets for each performance, so pick your favorite date night, call your favorite date, and cross your fingers that the ether gods will put your name first on the list of winners.

THURSDAY, 4/19
FRIDAY, 4/20
SATURDAY, 4/21
Congratulations to our winners!

Huzzah for the winners. And losers, it is well worth at least $15. I join the Austinist Editors in recommending "Ohio Trip". I was laughing so hard when I saw it at Women and Their Work,I had to wipe away tears of joy at several points to see. But it is not fluff or schtick by any means; it also has biting social commentary. Elizabeth Cobbe is an amazing talent, and her production team is first rate.
