Austinist Giveaway: Anton in Show Business

anton.jpgLet's see. The cast is full of women, including several very funny, award-nominated actresses. The comedy is of the backstage variety. And the play pokes at Anton Chekhov and Texas. That sounds like a recipe for a blast, no?

If you're not familiar with Anton in Show Business, here's the gist. A self-centered television starlet, an embittered professional actress, and an enthusiastic ingénue come together for an ill-fated production of Anton Chekhov¹s The Three Sisters in San Antonio. This work asks, "Can theatre survive in an age of corporate branding, non-existent funding, and audience indifference? Can Chekhov really be performed in Texas? Should it?" (Well, of course it should...just ask J. Ed Araiza.)

But if you want to find out what the Vestige Group's take is on these questions and more, fill out the form below to win two free tickets for tomorrow night's opening performance at the City Theatre.

Congratulations to our winner!
