Austinist Show Giveaway: My Chemical Romance and Muse in San Antonio

mcr.jpg

It’s only fair in today’s fast paced world that a share of high profile stadium rockers counters the growing success of indie bands. The Killers play the Frank Erwin Center these days while fellow “take over the world” hopefuls, My Chemical Romance have their sights set on similar success with the last year’s The Black Parade. A grand concept album with a dark storyline (largely about a dying cancer patient’s retrospective of his life), the record has helped MCR rise above the generic “Warped Tour Band” tag into newer, greener pastures. Think yourself fit to join the new order and jam out to everyone’s favorite Billy Corgan look-alike? Sign up below for a chance to win two tickets to their massive show in San Antonio on Monday. British rockers Muse open. Based on our past experiences at Muse shows, the trio should more than hold their own as they attempt to further their personal plans for world domination. Make sure you duck out of work early and avoid the rush hour traffic down I-35!
.
Congratulations to both our winners!

I'm glad to see that we're both big enough egomaniacs to recheck this post a day after it left the front page.

At least I can get your "name" right, Ugh.

Instant irony occurred when I realized that I just posted under a fake name and no email. Oh well. Maybe Alanis Morissette can write a song about me.

Oh, it's a concert for two mainstream bands that are currently playing on Mtv! I'm gonna click on this, and leave a snarky comment under a fake name and no email to prove my uber-coolness to random people on a website!

Yea, this show should of been at Sunset Station.

    The stadium that flattereth not....

  • Ugh

In related news, I'll be giving away free tickets to a viewing of my dog taking a crap behind the garage. It promises to be far more entertaining than this.

this is horrible on so many levels.

Muse was a decent show at ACL, but ohsovery LOUD. Be sure to take your earplugs if it's in a stadium!
