Ratatat must really love Austin. This Friday night marks their third show in town in less than 12 months-- actually less than seven months if our math is correct, and no, they didn’t play SXSW. Regardless, we love them and could not be more thrilled at yet another chance to see this New York act do their thing live. Formerly Cherry, the instrumental duo consists of Evan Mast on keys and Mike Stroud on six-string in the studio although they have been known to add more members in concert. Ratatat’s 2nd release, Classics, has earned them plaudits as well as plenty of new fans while classics such as “Wildcat” and “Lex” could fuel any late night shin-dig. Their ever-evolving electro-beats combined with guitar solos worthy of the 80’s (in a good way) are bound to mark another dance party at Emo’s, with help from opening act, Norway’s synth-perfectionists 120 Days. Won’t you be there please, on us?
Congratulations, winners!

More importantly: How does the editing process allow such inappropriate and gratuitous use of commas to slip by? (Particularly in Adi's write-ups)
You can still go to Emo's tonight. Fu Manchu, a much better band, is playing inside.
ratatat jammed it.
