Family Guy Creator To Speak At UT

Seth MacFarlane, the brains behind the greatest cartoon TV series since The Simpsons (Family Guy and its not-so-funny counterpart, American Dad), will be coming to UT campus next Friday, April 13th to give a lecture on lord knows what.
The Emmy Award-winner is not only the creator, director and executive producer of the above, he's also the voice of many animated characters--lending his voice to partners in the genre, Robot Chicken, Crank Yankers and Aqua Teen Hungerforce.
MacFarlane is currently on a speaking tour around college campuses, mostly giving student-only lectures, one of which included The Opening Class Day Speech at Harvard University. This lecture is not open to the public: university students, faculty and staff only. Admission is free, but you must obtain a pass by presenting a valid student ID at the Texas Union Student Events Center Ticket Office IN Room 4.300. Pass distribution is going on today until 5pm.

That show has become so crap lately.
No kidding. I have no interest in going but I hope someone asks him what it is about consumer mass marketing to tweens that makes even the best shows unwatchable. If anyone can even get a word in edgewise with ol' guy.
This reminds me of the time I referred to something outrageous and absurd that I did in a non-existent past to make up for a lack of a plot, cogent writing and real creativity.
Oh and "Bea Arthur" and "obscure '80's television reference."
Family Guy is dope. What's up with the hate-orade?
