If you’ve never been to a car show, this is your chance. But this is no ordinary car show –- it’s a hot rod show. We’re talking giant engines, men with tattoos, flame-accented clothing, beer, and, of course, country rock music. Dismayed by the daunting clouds, the show has moved from its original location at Festival Beach to the Travis County Expo Center. Hosted by South Austin's own hot rub club, The Kontinentals, this show brings in hundreds of cars from around the country.
This is the perfect place to buy fuzzy dice for your rear view mirror or finally find someone who will paint some awesome tricked-out design on your car, while enjoying songs about country roads, gypsy women, and fast driving from the likes of Ryan Bingham, Redd Volkaert, The Mother Truckers, and The Hacienda Brothers.
