Remember the good old days, when Mom & Pop had a fancy SLR camera they toted along on every vacation, stashed inside a camera bag the size of an Apple ][, all loaded up with 35mm slide film? Ahhh, a few weeks after returning home, they'd clear the living room wall of its family photos, whip up a huge bowl of Jiffypop, and you'd all settle in for an evening of magical memories, rendered colorful and bright and larger than life.
Well, maybe this never happened to you, but you get the gist. This weekend only, Elizabeth Cobbe turns the mythical vacation slide show on its ear in Ohio Trip. Using the photos she purportedly took during her recent journey into the underbelly of Cincinnati, Ohio -- think "a mysterious forest with characters from a modern-day Alice in Wonderland" -- Cobbe narrates her fantastical story. This ain't your mommy and daddy's vacation snaps.
