Every year - from large festivals to more intimate tastings, from foodie seminars to elegant galas - the Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Festival showcases many of austinist's culinary favorites.
At locations throughout town, the festival highlights not only local restaurants and culinary talents but local products as well.
This year, the festival includes old favorites such as demos and classes by local and national celebrity chefs as well as the ubiquitous Sunday Fair in San Gabriel Park in Georgetown. Last year, we have to admit, we were dubious about the move to Williamson County, but were pleasantly surprised, not only by the beauty of the setting, but also the City of Georgetown's seeming ability to overcome stigma of the unofficial Williamson County Motto - Come on Vacation, Leave on Probation. This year, the festival also digs into more specialized regional topics like organic wines and products showcased in the Austin Downtown Farmers Market.
Read more about specific events and culinary personalities as the festival approaches. Take a sneak peek at festival events after the jump.
