Yellow Tape & Austin Urban Grid Present Escape From SXSW

ytcc.gif

For everyone looking for something else to do while SXSW is in town, Yellow Tape Theatre Company presents the following: Free wine, cocktails and catering with all your favorite urbanites, followed by the premiere of Yellow Tape's latest theatrical masterpiece, I Am Not Tartuffe -- the only play ever where France is God.

In the piece, France is God. In a moment of freedom-hating existential crisis, God decides to infect America with the insidious disease of, you guessed it, Frenchness. Naturally, the Americans, led by their minister, Captain Jesus, defend their way of life with rock music – supplied by Austin's indie giants, Peel.

And because it's not SXSW week without multimedia, patrons can bring their laptops to comment on the show live via an online chatroom projected on stage – visible to both actors and audience.

The fine print:
What: Escape From SXSW -- Yellow Tape Opening Night, I Am Not Tartuffe
When: March 15th, 8pm
Where: play! Theatre, 1204 Cedar, Austin, TX
Tickets: $15 includes drinks, food and performance
