II had bought the last ticket for the Hogg Ghostland Observatory show, but I was too exhausted to attend. Picking up, lifting, and carrying 3 tons of books in two days will do that to even the toughest of us. Thank you for giving me another chance to see these guys. I came to Austin in part to find me a Texas woman, and I married one from Midland. Growing up in West Texas inspires the imagination, and Ghostland Observatory has imagination out the wazoo.
Oh, speaking of West Texas my wife is a Speech Pathologist and comes from a family of Petroleum engineers. George W.’s accent is not authentic Midland. Rather W's accent is a weird cross between his native New England accent and what a real Midland accent is. She thinks he picked it up trying to fit in with the rest of the guys in the “Earl Bidness”.
Hi,
Me and 10 of my friends went to the Playboy party and got turned away at the door because we did not RSVP. According to the information that Austinist and Playboy posted on their website, you only had to print the invitation and present it at the door for one entry per person. I talked to 3 people at the entrance and none of them heard of this or accepted my printed invitations.
I am not very happy with Austinist and Playboy's Rock the Rabbit for miscommunication about the party being RSVP only. Also, when i heard about this on 101X and listened to the show when they were talking about this Playboy party, i did not hear anything about having to RSPV. Not only was it a complete waste of time leaving 6th street and having to pay parking again going back down there, but Playboy's party was basically in east Austin which is known as a very bad part of town aka "the hood."
I honestly would've though Playboy had more class when picking a location for their party in Austin.
Thanks for nothing Playboy.

The "hood" ? Where the hell have you been? Have you seen how whitewashed East Austin is now?

AH-HAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH! AH-HAHAHAHAHA! Man, this shit is funny. HAHAHAHAH!
are you serious? the details clearly state that this was an invite-only party.
